The Ultimutt bath includes a bath with a shampoo that is best suited for their coat or condition, towel and blow dry, brush out, nail clipping and ear cleaning. Long haired breeds may also get their pads and feet trimmed, a sanitary and eye trim as well. The Ultimutt Style includes all that is offered with the bath, and a trim or all over haircut in a style that you prefer.
For short haired breeds we usually ask for 1 to 1.5 hours. Long haired breeds without a haircut we ask for 2 hours. Breeds getting haircuts we usually ask for roughly 3 hours. We like to ask for a little extra time with each appointment to compensate for interruptions that may pop up. We also like to give the pet's a break in between the various stages of grooming. We will always call as soon as they are done or about to be done.
Possible price changes can be due to heavier matting, thicker undercoats, extreme dirtiness, aging, weight changes, skin condition issues, fleas, ticks, or if we haven’t seen your pet in 12 weeks or more. These factors cause extra wear on our equipment and require more time to complete grooming. Please note that pets who are too difficult to handle due to bad behavior, aggression, or severely neglected coats may be declined for grooming.
Yes, we offer medicated baths and moisturizing treatments for pets with skin conditions. We also have products to help with skunk odor and flea treatments. If your pet has a special shampoo that you provide, we will gladly use that as well. We have hypo-allergenic and unscented shampoos as well. Please let us know if your pet has any special needs when booking an appointment.
No matter which service you choose, every pet gets a thorough check for fleas and ticks, skin and coat condition, and ear, eye, and oral health. Any issues are addressed to help them feel their best. We make sure each pet has a calm, caring experience, keeping them happy and safe. We’ll never force a service they don’t like—if they show signs of stress, we stop. Our goal is for your pet to enjoy grooming with us. Most dogs start with a bath, then are hand-dried and brushed on the table. If they don’t like the dryer, they might get some air-dry time or sit with fans in the crate before returning to the table for finishing touches.
No, we don’t allow that. For insurance reasons, it’s not permitted, and our space is too small to accommodate extra people. We’ve also found over the years that dogs don’t cooperate as well when their owners are present. They tend to get anxious and fidgety, making it harder for them to stay still. This creates safety concerns and can actually make the grooming process take longer as we work to calm them down.
We offer a cash discount on all purchases, whether it’s grooming services or retail products. Veterans and active military personnel get 10% off, and senior citizens receive a $5 discount. Law enforcement working dogs qualify for a breed-based discount. For households with three or more pets, we provide a $5 discount for each pet beyond the first two.
